MANDATE

To inspire and enrich the cultural aspects of life in the West Kootenay by fostering respect for, appreciation of and participation in, the cultural, artistic and natural heritage of Canadian and world cultures.
Achieved by presenting a balance of exhibitions of art, history, science and ethnology that:
1. Include regional, provincial and national points of view;
2. Include contemporary and historic points of view;
3. Include diversity of exhibitions that enrich, educate and challenge the audience;
4. Inspire and engage all members of the community through exhibition, education and community outreach programs;
5. Reflect and celebrate the diversity of the region.
