The Kootenay Gallery Board of Directors is looking for members who are willing to devote their time, effort and skills to the directing of the affairs of the Kootenay Gallery. Individuals interested in applying to participate on the Board are encouraged to fill out the application form below. Applications will be reviewed as positions become available.
About Board Membership
- The Board consists of a minimum of six, and a maximum of twelve active members.
- Consists of members from the West Kootenay Region
- Requires completion of Board Application, nomination and recommendation by Board Member, and election
Role of Board
- Holds principal responsibility for fulfillment of the organizations’ mandate, mission and vision.
- Holds legal accountability for its operations
Responsibilities
- Participate in a minimum of one Committee of the Society
- To act honestly and in good faith, in the best interests of the Society
- To endeavor to be prepared for, and attend monthly meetings, as well as the AGM, of
- the Society
- To participate actively in discussions and activities of the Society
- Respect the confidentiality of matters considered by the Board
