The Castlegar Cultural Advisory Committee is preparing to launch their fully redesigned “Culture at the Confluence” website.  The site celebrates arts, culture & heritage by providing comprehensive profiles for artists, artisans, clubs, organizations, attractions, activities, venues and events located in Castlegar and Regional District Areas I & J.  We are excited to announce that, with the expansion of the site, a full section will be dedicated to local artists and artisans; visitors to the website will be inspired by the wealth of creative talent and artistic excellence that colours our community as they discover one-of-a-kind items with distinct local flavour and learn more about those who exhibit and perform at local cultural venues and events – (that’s YOU!)

At this time the committee invites you, as a local artist/artisan who has participated at some of Castlegar’s premier cultural venues and events – Kootenay Gallery, Kootenay Festival and/or Castlegar Art Walk – to participate with the Culture at the Confluence project by submitting information for your own artist/artisan profile listing.  Please take a moment to complete the attached artist/artisan form and return to admin@castlegarculture.com along with a short bio and photos (details are outlined on the attachment).  We request that the information be provided no later than December 27, 2013 as we prepare for our January launch.

Additional information about the project can be found in the attached backgrounder file.  For more information about the Castlegar Cultural Advisory Committee, please contact Audrey Maxwell Polovnikoff at apolovnikoff@rdck.bc.ca.  We hope that you will join in this unique celebration of local arts, culture and heritage.  We look forward to sharing this with you.

Yours truly,
