We had a visit from Karen Tamminga-Paton, an artist from Crowsnest Pass. We are now selling Karen’s line of cards and prints. We are hoping to receive some paintings from her for Christmas at the Gallery. Welcome, Karen
Speaking of artists, Naida Patterson a local Castlegar woman and Kootenay Gallery volunteer has brought in some of her newest pieces. Come check out these beautiful works.
Edgewood resident Michaela Welti has written a book, From the Ground Up about her familiy, the Weltis. From the author’s early years, escaping from East Germany to Switzerland to a life of organic gardening in the Kootenays, this book follows her life journey.
Creston author Julie Ewashen dropped off more copies of her children’s book, Adventures in the Arctic with Nina. The book has been translated into French and Russian. The gallery has Russian copies available. This may be a great way for your child to practice their Russian language skills.
